About WeAreHabitat.org

A site by Habitat supporters, for Habitat supporters.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of volunteers give their time and energy to help Habitat projects around the world. They build or repair more than houses; they also build friendships and forge cross-cultural understanding. They witness what is possible when people come together to lend a helping hand.

Each volunteer has a unique experience and stories to share — stories of how it is possible to make the world a better place, one family at a time. WeAreHabitat.org is a place to share those experiences and — through personal stories — to tell Habitat’s story.

Many volunteers also raise money from friends and family to support the projects they're working on. Some raise enough to build entire houses. WeAreHabitat.org makes it possible for donors to follow the progress of these projects and to see the effect their donations are having on the lives of others.
